What if I have MediCaid or Medicare.
Please call your insurance Company or broker for and set up the Ride with them. Tell them you “Prefer CareOne Transport Systems” they they will book you with us.
Booking rides through Medicaid takes 3 days minimum for approval. -
Payment options:
Cash, check, credit card (with fees) Medicaid/Medicaid only when booked through your broker or insurance provider

How soon can I Book a ride
We would Would like 24 hour advanced noticed (usually Private pay clients). Can sometimes take same day requests for private pay. For Medicaid/ Medicare please book with your insurance Broker with at least 3 days before appointment

All Vans are ADA compliant.
(wheelchair accesible) NO Lifts, NO stretcher. NO bariatric chairs.

What if i have a wheelchair or scooter
Yes we carry wheelchair but NOT Bariatric size chairs.
Yes we carry electric scooters. But rider needs to transfer to vehicle seat for safety (you can not stay in the scooter.)

Are we open on Holidays?
Yes, we are open on most Holidays. (We would like at least a weeks notice to book a ride)
(Scheduled dialysis PT’s always welcome.) -

All drivers receive Basic training and follow safety requirements
All drivers are cpr/first aid certified.

Riders of Medicare and Medicaid insurances can NOT change pick up and drop without their insurance approval. That change will then need to be communicated to careone Transport

Where in Nebraska do you provide services?
Our day program is located at 10828 Old Mill Road in Omaha. We currently provide our other DD services in Omaha and the surrounding communities in Douglas and Sarpy counties.

What are the requirements to be a caregiver?
You must be 18 years of age or older, have a high school diploma and be able to pass a series of background checks that include a criminal history check and a DHHS dependent adult and child abuse registry check.

How much do services cost?
Services are paid for by Medicaid and there is no cost to the participant.

Can a guardian be a paid caregiver for their son/daughter?
No. A guardian cannot be a paid caregiver, however other family members can be paid caregivers, as long as they are 18 years of age or older.

Do we have a choice in who works with our son/daughter?
Yes you do! When we first meet your son/daughter we will discuss their needs, wants, desires and the types of activities that we will be doing with them. We will try to match them to a current team member or a new hire and have you meet them first. If you approve, then we will have them work with your son/daughter. If not, we look for someone else.

How do I obtain services for my son/daughter?
All qualifying participants that receive Medicaid should have a Service Coordinator assigned to them through the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (NDHHS). The Service Coordinator will assist you in obtaining the services. The services are provided through a “Medicaid Waiver” program, and they can assist you in determining which one you would qualify for.

What services can I get from CareOne?
If you have been approved for a Medicaid Waiver, the type and amount of service you can receive will be different depending on the particular waiver program that you are approved for. Please contact your Service Coordinator to find out more information.

What is the training process for your employees?
All of our employees go through a series of background checks prior to being hired. Once hired, they must complete over 40 hours of training that includes areas on Individual Choice, Individual Rights, Confidentiality, Dignity and Respect, Abuse and Neglect, Emergency Procedures, CPR/First Aid, Infection Control, Safety Protocols and Emergency Safety Intervention.
